ABOUT
Maurizio Scalzi worked 4 years at Wurmfeld Associates PC in Manhattan, New York.
The last year as associate in the design department, MSW Interiors (Matz, Scalzi, Wurmfeld). After a short period as a lecturer at the International Fine Arts College (IFAC) in Miami, Florida, he returned to Milan where he worked 6 years at Ettore Sottsass and Associates on international projects of architecture and interior design.
These days at StudioScalzi he works on urban regeneration, architectural and interior design projects, with the philosophy of putting the human being at the centre.

THE HUMAN BEING AT THE CENTRE
Since 2015 he is professor for Interior Design Masters and One Year Program Courses of SPD (Scuola Politecnica Design, Milan).
Since 2007 Maurizio Scalzi is also professor of Interior Design at NABA (Nuova Accademia Belle Arti, Milan) for international programs.
Occasionally visiting professor at Strategic Design Masters of Politecnico di Milano, and at Beirut Arab University Faculty of Architecture (Lebanon).
With Alice Brovelli and Irina Suteu he has published "The harmonic integration of culture and skills in design: an interdisciplinary experience in higher education", for 9th International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies.
With the patronage of the Municipality of Milan he has published "We like Milano", interactive book in italian and english language, still distributed in 51 countries.
