Arch. Maurizio Scalzi - Studio Scalzi Nato in Puglia, completa i suoi studi universitari a Milano conseguendo una specializzazione in Graphic Design - Art Direction presso l'Istituto Europeo di Design, e successivamente la laurea in Architettura al Politecnico di Milano.
Il progetto di tesi, Piazza Repubblica a Varese, risulterà vincitore di concorso.
Si trasferisce a New York, dove intraprende la professione di Architetto con lo studio Wurmeld Associates P.C.
Trascorre quattro anni a Manhattan, dove per l'ultimo anno sperimenta il ruolo di associato per il nuovo dipartimento di Interior Design chiamato MSW Interiors (Matz, Scalzi, Wurmfeld).
Le sue esperienze di lavoro negli Stati Uniti spesso incrociano arte e cinematografia.
Dopo una breve parentesi di insegnamento al Fine Arts College (IFAC) di Miami fa ritorno a Milano.
Dall'anno 2000 al 2006 collabora con Ettore Sottsass e Associati, seguendo progetti in molti paesi tra cui Giappone, Panama, Germania, Stati Uniti, Spagna, Cina. Oggi lavora per il suo Studio sui Navigli di Milano.

The thesis project, Piazza Repubblica in Varese, turns out winning of competition.
He moves to New York, starting the profession of architect under the firm Wurmfeld Associates P.C.
He spends four years in Manhattan, where in the last year become associate for the new interior design division called MSW Interiors (Matz, Scalzi, Wurmfeld).
His work experiences in United States often intercross fine art and cinematography.
After a short period of time of teaching at the Miami's Fine Arts College (IFAC) he returns to Milan.
From the year 2000 he collaborates with Ettore Sottsass and Associates, following projects in many countries like Japan, Panama, Germany, United States, Spain, China Now he works for his own Firm on the Navigli of Milan
